Kids make reason stare!

Lincoln: "Mom, can I eat lunch downstairs?"
Me: "You have to eat the apples and drink your milk up here but then you can bring the sandwich downstairs."
Lincoln: "But I don't like apples! I don't want the milk! (add really whiny tone)"
After arguing this one for a little while
Lincoln: "Mom, Sam has more apples than me!" He then bursts into tears!

Huh?

Sounds about right! That's the way it goes.

DUH! He wants to feel like you love him the same..even if that means having to eat more apples. Other kids getting more of something is always a bad thing.

*I* am the expert at this with my kids! I always give them the EXACT same amount of everything! ;-)

Well, I do too. . . but he had already complained so I thought I was being nice. Funny that even when they don't like things fairness is still all important. I thought I I was being fair by giving him less when he didn't want them.
